OUR U.S. PROGRAM IN TIJUANA: Every Thursday and two Saturdays each month, we travel across the border to Tijuana, Mexico, bringing our program to one of the seven neighborhoods in which we serve. On these occasions we invite groups to join us. Because we have to limit our groups in size and because we are booked up weeks in advance, we require all groups to reserve space. We work with more than 300 Mexican adults and children each week. Every September, Spectrum closes down for the whole month. (See our 'GETTING ON OUR CALENDAR' section")

GIFTS: Small as we are, our vision and need always seem to run ahead of our support. Financial donations from faithful friends and co-partners keep us running. We've added a 'PAYPAL DONATIONS' section to make giving to Spectrum as easy as possible. While we don't place an emphasis on soliciting funds, they are always needed. Indeed gifts are appreciated!
If you would like to donate to our ministry through the mail, please make a check out to Spectrum Ministries, address it and mail it to:

MAP/DIRECTIONS: "How do we get to Spectrum Ministries in San Diego?" (Always call us in advance if you plan to visit us). Travel south on Interstate 5 At mission bay take the Clairemont Drive exit which will have you heading east. After the second traffic signal (the first is on the overpass itself), turn in to the first driveway at the large church partially up the hill on Clairemont Drive. If you miss the driveway, turn right on Galveston Street and then turn right again into the first driveway to our parking lot. Travel down two more parking lots to the base of the round church sanctuary. Park. Our offices are in the entrance of the round building at this parking lot level. Our warehouse (and where we assemble to leave for Mexico) is located at this same level on the opposite side of this building. Leave all donations in the back area. If you are traveling south on highway 15, take the 52 turn off to the west and it will intersect with Interstate #5, continue south.)
We also have this GOOGLE MAP you can use to find our office here in San Diego, our dormitory and other places we work at in and around Tijuana.
DOING FAVORS FOR PEOPLE: Understandably we are reluctant to take on additional responsibilities outside our own ministry. Because we work in Mexico people write us and call asking us to do them a favor. We love to do favors, but we simply don't have the time and gas to extend beyond our ministry obligations.
VIDEO: We have a set of short videos on our work in the 'VIDEOS' section. Call our office.
BOOK: There was a secular book written that gives a rather gritty perspective on Spectrum's early involvement in a dirty, hurting world. If interested, you can pick this paperback up at your local bookstore. The name of the book is:
"Across the Wire," by Louis Urrea, Anchor Books.
